Meet Our Team

Surgical Group of North Texas is proud of our personable and approachable staff. They are available to help patients with every need. Meet some of the friendly faces you’ll see at the SGNT offices:

Veronica, Clinical Staff Manager and Clinical Assistant to Dr. Matin
Veronica began her career in the medical field more than 10 years ago, and joined SGNT six years ago. She is a CPR-certified clinical assistant who is also currently studying to become a registered nurse. She is also known to put patients at ease with her calm smile. Outside of SGNT, Veronica enjoys spending time with her husband and two small children.

Vianey, Clinical Assistant to Dr. Rivera
Vianey is a bilingual staff member and a great resource for Spanish-speaking patients. She has more than 10 years’ experience in the medical field, including four years with SGNT. With her medical background and CPR certification, Vianey is a great resource in helping patients to better understand their treatments and prepare for surgery. Vianey and her husband juggle a busy schedule with three children and their activities.

Joanna, Clinical Assistant to Dr. Clifford
A CPR-certified clinical assistant, Joanna joined the SGNT team in 2006. She has many years’ experience in the healthcare and customer service industries, and she’s known to quickly establish a great rapport with patients due to her soothing demeanor. Joanna loves traveling and spending time with her husband, family and friends.

Alicia, Front Office Coordinator
One of the first contacts that a patient makes with SGNT is a warm greeting from Alicia, who personally welcomes patients as they contact the Irving office. Alicia has more than five years’ experience in the medical field, including two at SGNT. She also assists patients in coordinating appointments and handles all front-office responsibilities. Alicia and her husband hope to have children in the future, but for now, enjoy spending time together.

Jessica, Front Office Coordinator
Jessica is the newest addition to SGNT, joining the practice earlier this year. She is also new to the medical community and loves being able to assist patients. She serves patients by coordinating appointments and handling all front office responsibilities for the Grapevine location. Jessica is also the proud mother of two boys and a little girl.

Teresa, Billing Office Manager
Teresa is an insurance expert who assists patients at SGNT in better understanding their insurance benefits and financial options. She has more than 20 years’ experience in assisting general surgery patients with their insurance needs. Teresa joined SGNT four years ago, and spends her spare time traveling, volunteering for her local church and keeping up with her grown children and grandchildren.

Monica, Billing Coordinator
Monica is a valued resource is assisting patients by completing FMLA and short-term disability forms. She has worked in the medical field for five years, and joined SGNT three years ago. A mother of two boys, Monica also stays busy by bowling, swimming, playing tennis and spending time at the lake.
