Dr. Nathan Emerson Becomes Certified In Placement of Peritoneal Dialysis Catheters
Brings extensive experience in General Surgery, including specialized training in an endoscopic reflux surgery.
(May 16, 2017) Grapevine, TX – Dr. Nathan Emerson has been certified for placement of peritoneal dialysis catheter from Peritoneal Dialysis Catheter University. At the end of April, he was on a recent trip to Tampa and engaged in a training course certifying him for the procedure.
Dr. Emerson is board certified by the American Board of Surgery and is an experienced general surgeon capable of performing the full range of operations in the specialty as well as advanced laparoscopic techniques. He has a special interest in endoscopic reflux surgery. And is specially trained to perform transoral incisionless fundoplication (TIF), an innovative procedure that restores the body’s natural protection against esophageal reflux. Many patients suffer from heartburn and regurgitation despite adequate medical therapies. The TIF operation is an effective and safe procedure with minimal complication rates for those patients with difficulty controlling the symptoms of reflux.
Prior to joining the Surgical Group of North Texas, he practiced in Massachusetts for six years.
